VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Three Star Volunteer Fire Department includes a team of hard working volunteer firefighters as well as support and administrative staff that make up our Board and auxiliary members. Our force includes firefighters and medical first responders of varying ages and backgrounds, unified around our core values.
In addition to fire suppression and prevention, we provide emergency response for the Three Star Volunteer fire district and our neighboring fire departments, that include services such as, medical, vehicle crashes, fire suppression, and public service calls, to list only a few.
Members respond to the fire station on a 24 hours a day, seven days a week, basis. We are fully qualified firefighters and nationally certified emergency medical responders. Our firefighters have taken extensive firefighter training based on guidelines from the State of Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance and the State’s Fire Marshal’s Office that meet or exceed the requirements of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
Our first responders are both Nationally and State licensed, CPR-BLS qualified, and have successfully completed a comprehensive practical and cognitive exam, met all physical requirements, and completed state approved course of instruction that exceeds the National Emergency Medical Services Education Standards.
Volunteer firefighting is a very rewarding and valuable way to serve your community. It takes dedication and many hours of training to become a firefighter. If you're willing to put in the time and effort, this is the department ready for you to serve. Making the decision to become a volunteer firefighter should not be taken lightly. It requires hundreds of hours of training and a strong commitment to service.
